About the role
The ideal candidate should have experience with different cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure automation, Kubernetes, and cloud security best practices. You will also provide support to customers in areas related to cloud deployments, monitoring, and security, ensuring our applications operate efficiently and securely in the cloud.
Miniumum Requirements
The role is based in Chile. Candidates should consider the following before applying:
Candidate must be resident in Chile and will typically work 8 to 4 local time to support clients in the US.
Candidate must have competency in oral and written English.
Candidate must have experience in customer facing roles (please indicate on CV).
Candidate must be available for occasional travel to the US.
Candidate must supply CV in English.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP to support our applications.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform/OpenTofu/etc. to automate deployment and scaling.
Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications critical to our application.
Build and optimize container images for performance, security, and scalability within our application environment.
Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions using cloud-specific tools and/or tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, SolarWinds, and New Relic to ensure the stability and performance of our application.
Write and maintain technical documentation, including deployment manuals, best practices, and troubleshooting guides related to our application's infrastructure.
Support customer meetings and provide guidance on cloud deployments, security, and monitoring as they relate to our application.
Ensure cloud security best practices and compliance requirements are met for our application's infrastructure.
Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize cloud resource utilization to enhance our application's reliability and cost-efficiency.
About you
Required Qualifications
Proven experience working with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP in a production environment supporting a cloud-based application.
Hands-on expertise with Terraform / OpenTofu for infrastructure automation and application deployment.
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, monitoring, security) for application hosting.
Experience with Docker and container lifecycle management in a cloud application environment.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, SolarWinds, New Relic, etc.) to monitor infrastructure and application performance.
Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation and manuals related to cloud-based applications.
Ability to interact with customers to provide support and guidance on cloud infrastructure, security, and monitoring specifically for our application.
Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices to secure our application's infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies for application deployment.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., bash, python, PowerShell) for automation within our application infrastructure.
Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD).
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud networking solutions to enhance our application's reach and resilience.
